Nitriding is a protective finish. The nitriding is a heat treatment process involving a mechanical polish and post process salt bath oxidative treatment. The resulting harder surface provides the following benefits: Anti-Spatter, Corrosion Protection, Resistance to wear, Increased lubricity and fatigue strength.
Technical specifications are:-
Surface Hardness: HRC52
Coefficient of Friction : 0.37
Case harden depth: 0.01-0.02mm
Heat Resistance: 375 Celcius
Will a Standard Finish be suitable?
The Plates are built from machine grade bright steel, supplied oiled when packed. Application of anti-spatter and silicone dry lube material will greatly improve the service life of the plates. In applications where TIG is the predominant welding process there is almost no risk of weld damage to the surface. Dragging heavy objects across the surface will damage any table. Minor scuffs and burrs can be polished out more easily on a standard finished surface.
Is a longer table available?
Welding tables can be joined together to create a longer or wider surface. In some cases the type of object being fabricated allows for separation between tables. Plates can also be moved around on the frame to accommodate wider jobs. Individual plates are sometimes better suited to a particular application and may be attached to an existing structure.
The BuildPro Half Table, when used with another BuildPro Table, is particularly suitable for creating an expanded work area in any direction off the main table
How much weight will the tables support?
The load capacity for the larger 1960 x 1000mm table is 2,000 kg. The smaller 1160 x 1000mm supports 1,200 kg. Tables should be levelled when installing prior to use. The BuildPro Half-Table supports 600 kg.
How soon can my order be delivered?
Be it work positioner or welding clamps, stock is carried on all lines and orders are usually shipped within 3 days. However, where a product is run out, there can be a delay of 4-6 weeks.
How much does a table weigh?
The table weight depends on the size, model and material. Each weight is shown in the last column of data shown on the product page. As a guide, the large table shipping weight is 310kg, the mid-size is 190kg, and the half-table weighs 115kg. These weights include legs. FixturePoint tables start at 30kg.
What is the freight cost for a table?
The freight cost will depend on the shipping destination. A forklift is required to unload a delivery. WTA will always seek the best quote for freight.
What warranty applies to these products?
All new purchases of BuildPro™ products from July 1st, 2013 are covered under a full Manufacturers Replacement Warranty, including tables. Any material or parts found to be defective or faulty will be replaced with a new item, excluding normal workshop wear and tear. Each table has a registered number to enable tracking.
